Refund and Return Policy

At Midwest Grow Co., we want customers to be satisfied with their purchases. Because we sell a wide variety of products, including nutrients, biological products, growing media, equipment, seeds, and specialty items, return eligibility may vary by product.

All return and refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Requesting a Return

Before returning any product, please contact Midwest Grow Co. for approval.

To request a return, provide:

  • Your name
  • Order number
  • Product name
  • Reason for the return
  • Photographs, when applicable

Please do not mail or bring back a product until your return request has been reviewed and approved. Items returned without prior authorization may not be accepted or refunded.

Submitting a request does not guarantee that the return or refund will be approved.

Return Eligibility

To be considered for a return, an item generally must:

  • Be unused and unopened
  • Be in its original packaging
  • Include all parts, accessories, instructions, and materials
  • Be in clean, resalable condition
  • Include proof of purchase from Midwest Grow Co.

Eligibility may depend on the product type, manufacturer policy, condition of the item, reason for the return, and time since purchase or delivery.

Any product-specific return limitations shown on the product page, packaging, receipt, or manufacturer documentation will also apply.

Opened Products

Opened or used products are not returnable.

This includes products with opened seals, damaged packaging, missing contents, evidence of use, or products that can no longer be safely resold.

We cannot accept opened nutrients, supplements, biological products, pesticides, growing media, liquids, powders, or similar consumable products due to safety, quality-control, and contamination concerns.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Opened or used products
  • Products missing original packaging, parts, or accessories
  • Items damaged after delivery through misuse, improper storage, neglect, or installation
  • Products purchased from another retailer
  • Items marked final sale or non-returnable
  • Gift cards
  • Products that are restricted from return by the manufacturer or applicable law

Special-order, clearance, discontinued, or heavily discounted products may also be ineligible for return when disclosed at the time of purchase.

Seeds and Living Products

Seeds and other living or biological products can be affected by storage, handling, temperature, moisture, growing methods, and environmental conditions outside our control.

Return or refund requests involving these products will be reviewed individually. Germination, growth, yield, or performance is not guaranteed unless a specific manufacturer guarantee applies.

Customers may be asked to contact the manufacturer directly when a manufacturer warranty or satisfaction guarantee covers the product.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact Midwest Grow Co. within 48 hours of delivery.

Please provide:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the problem
  • Photographs of the product
  • Photographs of the shipping box and packaging
  • A photograph of the shipping label

Keep the product, box, and all packaging materials until the issue is resolved. The shipping carrier or manufacturer may require them when reviewing the claim.

Depending on the circumstances and product availability, Midwest Grow Co. may offer a replacement, store credit, partial refund, or full refund.

Manufacturer Warranties

Some lighting, environmental-control, electrical, mechanical, and equipment products are covered by a manufacturer warranty.

When a manufacturer warranty applies, the customer may be required to work directly with the manufacturer for troubleshooting, repair, replacement, or warranty service.

Midwest Grow Co. will provide reasonable assistance with manufacturer warranty information when available, but warranty decisions are made by the manufacturer.

Return Shipping

Unless the return is caused by an incorrect, defective, or damaged item attributable to Midwest Grow Co., the customer is responsible for return-shipping costs.

Return-shipping charges are nonrefundable.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for valuable items. Midwest Grow Co. is not responsible for returned packages that are lost or damaged during transit.

Approved returns must be sent to the address provided in the return authorization. Do not send products to a manufacturer or supplier unless instructed to do so.

Inspection and Refund Decisions

Returned items will be inspected after they are received.

Midwest Grow Co. reserves the right to deny a return or reduce the refund when an item:

  • Has been opened or used
  • Is damaged or incomplete
  • Is missing packaging, parts, or accessories
  • Is not in resalable condition
  • Does not match the approved return request
  • Was returned without authorization

Customers will be notified after the return has been reviewed.

Approved Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method whenever possible.

The amount refunded may exclude:

  • Original shipping charges
  • Return-shipping costs
  • Restocking charges, when disclosed and applicable
  • Discounts or promotional values
  • Missing, damaged, or used portions of the returned item

Original shipping charges are generally nonrefundable unless the order was damaged, defective, incorrect, or shipped in error by Midwest Grow Co.

After Midwest Grow Co. issues a refund, additional processing time may be required by the customer’s bank, credit-card company, or payment provider.

Exchanges

Exchanges are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and depend on product eligibility and availability.

In some cases, the original item may need to be returned and inspected before a replacement is issued.

Order Cancellations

Contact Midwest Grow Co. as soon as possible to request an order cancellation.

We will make a reasonable effort to accommodate the request, but orders that have already been processed, packed, transferred to a supplier, or shipped may not be canceled.

Store Credit

In some circumstances, Midwest Grow Co. may offer store credit instead of a refund. Store credit is issued at our discretion and may be subject to additional terms communicated at the time of approval.
