Honey Select Hybrid is a triple-sweet, sugary-enhanced hybrid with a tender, flavorful, sweet corn variety. It has 75% sugary-enhanced kernels and 25% supersweet kernels, making it the perfect combination of corn flavor and sweetness. Plants produce large, 8″ ears that are filled to the tip. Honey Select Sweet Corn was an All-America Selections winner in 2001. It germinates and emerges well in more excellent soils and, because it has mostly sugary-enhanced genes, does not require isolation from other supersweet varieties. Honey Select has excellent storage and field-holding ability, allowing for longer harvest and processing windows.
How to Grow Your Honey Select Yellow Hybrid Sweet Corn:
- Suggested Planting Depth: ½-1 inches in rows
- Suggested Planting Seasons: Spring, Early Summer
- Suggested Final Plant Spacing: 10-12 inches apart
- Suggested Planting Configuration: Single row block (3-5 rows for pollination)
- Maintain a weed-free seed bed in full sun and with adequate moisture
- Seeds are treated so handle seed with proper PPE
